One of the most valuable aspects of INETA is the active community support and
interaction you receive as a member group. You have the opportunity to work with
some of the brightest minds in the .NET world including other .NET user group
leaders who have extensive experience starting, running, and growing user
groups.
What Does Community Mean to INETA?
In today's fast-paced world, it seems that the true meaning of "community" is
sometimes overlooked in favor of growth objectives, corporate share holders,
lobbyists, and other self-interest groups.
It's time for something completely different.
INETA embraces the true meaning of community and we welcome all user
groups focused on Microsoft developer technologies, with nominal restrictions.
We believe focusing on being inclusive, rather than exclusive - makes us truly
exclusive. It reinforces the principles that lead to strong community action by
providing value to the members of our community - locally, regionally,
nationally, and internationally. We believe community is about involvement -
deep, meaningful involvement. We believe involvement leads to the most important
and lasting aspect of community - commitment. Underline it, asterisk it, bold it
- without involvement there is no commitment and that is why INETA is founded on
the principles of involvement and volunteerism. In fact, our organization is run
by volunteers committed to the greater good of the communities they individually
serve, as well as the collective community we all serve together. Follow the
"member groups" link on the left to see all the other member groups who are part
of our growing community.
Some of the many community features you can take advantage of as an INETA member
user group leader include:
- Best practices white papers for user group leaders
- Develop lasting friendships with other user group leaders
- Learn from others mistakes and strengths
